Brent Johnson, CFP,® ChFC
Brent Johnson is the founder of Vision Wealth. For more than twenty years and through some seismic economic cycles, he has built a reputation for guiding individuals and families toward financial independence. Through a proactive, client-focused approach, he seeks to align personal values with financial goals.
He began his career as a financial consultant at a time many would consider inopportune – the height of the tech bubble in 1999. To Brent, the turmoil and uncertainty in the marketplace only reinforced his belief in an approach to financial decision making based on identifying and pursuing specific life goals, rather than chasing returns. As a seasoned professional, he has guided clients through significant market events, including the global recession of 2007 and 2008.
Brent holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. Prior to pursuing a financial services career, he served as a high school instructor, teaching subjects such as History and Economics. His strong belief in the power of education led him to pursue the rigorous course of study required to earn both his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations from The American College.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional, Brent adheres to a high standard of ethics and integrity as set forth by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. His education, credentials, experience and desire to provide clients with independent, objective advice serve to differentiate him among today’s broad field of financial advisors.
Brent and his family live in the Santa Rosa Valley, nestled between Camarillo and Westlake Village, CA. He and his wife, Koosah, have four daughters. He is very active in his church as well as with his daughters’ schooling, and enjoys a variety of hobbies, including farming, gardening, backpacking, camping, piano and reading biographies and books about history and leadership topics. He is an avid Dodgers and Lakers fan and also enjoys spending time playing basketball and coaching volleyball.
